Playtime Favourites
We all have our favourite toys and games from our childhood, mine were usually art related.
I loved getting colouring books, pencils and chalks. I had a Spirograph set and an Etch A Sketch. I also had many handmade toys lovingly made by my dad, including a Blackboard and Easel.

JANICE’S STORIES BEHIND THE PAINTING
1. My husband’s favourite plaything was a Bayko Building Set.
2. This Clown Pelham Puppet was a special toy that I still have in its original box. My sister and I used to put on a puppet show every Christmas for our parents.
3. I played Jacks all the time, a great playground activity.
4. My most favourite toy was a clockwork dancing prince and princess.
5. A Gyroscope, a spinning top, more a wonder of science than a toy, but mine fascinated me.
6. Collapsible Animals. They are threaded on elastic and when you push up the base you can make them dance and appear in all sorts of peculiar positions. I always had one in my Christmas stocking and collected quiet a few over my childhood years.
